Forgotton Anne

I will always love indie games with great art and sad/heartwarming stories. After completing Forgotten Anne, I can admit that I was impressed by the first minutes of the gameplay; it is something like a bright animated movie that begins from the screen.

BEAUTIFULLY REALISED WORLD

What’s impressive is that the worlds seem extremely well thought out. Everything is vivid and full of artistic exaggeration, from the landscape to the character art. Mundane objects like tables, chairs, toys, and other items commonly found in a house are not just props but personified and make up a diverse, warm space.

• Living Everyday Objects: The world in the game is also special, thanks to the fact that everyday objects are personified, giving players a feeling of attachment and familiarity. These objects not only have cute appearances but also have unique stories and personalities.
• Traditional Animation Techniques: The graphics in the game are made using traditional animation techniques, but each frame is meticulously cared for, giving the feeling of watching a lively animated movie. This contributes to creating an artistic style. It is a unique art and full of aesthetics.
• Orchestral Musical Score: The game’s music is a majestic and profound soundtrack performed by the Copenhagen Symphony Orchestra. The music’s melody blends perfectly with the scenes in the game, helping to heighten emotions and enhance the playing experience.

The game’s plot is built extremely carefully and attractively, allowing players to interact. Important decisions can be made through a branching dialogue system, thereby influencing the story’s progression and creating a sense of each choice having meaning.
